In 1997, Peter Kissila and his wife, Mary, the directors of a small daycare center in Arusha, had a dream. For years, local parents had encouraged the couple to expand the center into a full-fledged primary school. They started in 1998 by offering private education for standard one students and called their school Kilimani Junior Academy. By 2004, Kilimani had expanded to all seven sandards as a full English medium primary private school. FoTZC has constructed five classrooms at Kilimani and donated computers.
