Soit Sambu Secondary School - Boys' Dormitory
The headmaster's goal was to open a new dining hall. After a long period of fundraising and construction, the dining hall was completed in early 2015. In March 2015, we were saddened to learn that one of the boys' dormitories burned down in a fire; seeing it in person was even more heartbreaking. As the boys had nowhere else to live, they had to move into the newly completed dining hall. We knew how hard the community worked to build the school, and the cost of replacing a dormitory was not an amount that could be raised from the local community quickly or easily. When the government, community, and headmaster asked us to build a new dormitory, we quickly agreed.
The construction is finished, and we are excited for the students to be moved in and enjoying the new space.
