FOTZC Supports Tanzania’s Sustainable Development Goals

In a developing nation, priorities are far different than they might be in a developed nation. As partners in Tanzania, we see our role as listening to the goals the country is setting for itself, collaborating with them, and then acting to help achieve those goals.

In 2015, The General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) it lays out build on the principle of “leaving no one behind,” emphasizing a holistic approach to achieving sustainable development for all.

Focus on Tanzanian Communities works on four of these SDGs: Good Health & Well-being, Quality Education, Gender Equality, and Clean Water & Sanitation.
